Welcome to the Langholm Horse Racing Association Web site. Our aim is to provide you with useful information about our organisation that we hope makes it easier for you to recognise what actually happens at a Race Meeting.

Langholm Horse Racing Association has been serving the Borders of Scotland with a horse sporting entertainment for years. We specialise in flat horse racing which is known as “flapping”. The Race Meetings are held at various venues, including Castleholm, Langholm, but mostly on Hawick Moor, Hawick. When the meetings are held at Hawick another committee (Hawick Horse Racing Association) is in charge of all events & entry forms.
There are usually around 4 races per Race Meeting. There is a rest period of usually half an hour between races. There are on-site Bookmakers, catering facilities, licensed bar and toilet facilities. In addition, there is ample car parking facilities.
